Location
is located right in the center of the Rhine-Main-Neckar area, one of the most prosperous parts of Germany. The conference will take place in the (former State Theater ), Karolinenplatz 3, DE-64289 Darmstadt. The building is located in the heart of Darmstadt, between the “Schloß” and the “Herrengarten”. Hessian State Archive
Getting to the conference
There is direct bus connection (line “AIR”, frequency : every 30 min) from Francfort Airport to the main Train Station of Darmstadt (travel time 25 minutes, ticket cost 7,20€). From the main station take the tramway (line 2 or 3) or the bus (line K or H) to the stop “Schloß”. Walk through the castle to the Karolinenplatz.

The “Graupner Days” will take place from Mai 14th to Mai 16th in Darmstadt.
Christoph Graupner (January 13, 1683 in Kirchberg – May 10, 1760 in Darmstadt) was a German harpsichordist and composer of high Baroque music who lived and worked at the same time as Johann Sebastian Bach, Georg Philipp Telemann and George Frideric Handel. (Wikipedia).
